Intel Rapid Storage Technology aka RST
Intel Rapid Storage Technology is used to recognize and store the most recent
and frequently used data into SSD or HDD for increased performance of the
system and to provide reliability. RST service also provides a restore point
to quickly recover in case of any hardware failure.

Intel Rapid Storage Technology aka RST service is basically used to store
frequently used data and also create a restore point so that in case of any
hardware failure, RST ensures that you need not lose all your data instead
some of your data. For example; if you are playing a game and your system
suddenly switches off then, sometimes your game data is corrupted or erased
from the memory, then in this case you case use the restore point to recover
your data from the last restore point, Intel Rapid Storage Technology had
created.
Steps to restart Intel Rapid Storage Technology:
- Click on the search button and type "Services".
- Double-click on the result to open it.
- On the services, page scroll down and search for Intel Rapid Storage Technology.
- Double-click on the result to open it.
- On the RST page, click on the start button and make sure that the startup type is "Automatic", if not, click on the drop-down menu and select Automatic and then click on the "Ok" button.
- Now you are good to go, now you can see that the Intel RST service is running in your system.
