Hello there, I will show you how you can restore your deleted save game file in this article. Just follow the instructions given down below. 

Disclaimer: This process will only work when your system creates a restore point, if it didn't, you will not find the backup folder. And another thing to note that if you are not going to recover all the data, you have to suffer some data loss.

We will do this in two steps; first, will we find the location where the game saves the progress data and in the second step, we will recover the lost data.

Step 1: Finding the location, where the game saves the progress data:

1. First of all, navigate to the folder where you have installed the game and open the folder named "_Cracks".
2. Here you will find two folders open the one named "CrackFix Codex".
3. Now open the "CODEX.ini" file.
4. After opening the file copy the path which would be looking something like "%SystemDrive%\Users\Public\Documents\uPlay\CODEX\Saves\AssassinsCreedOrigins".
5. After coping the address paste it in the address bar of your windows file explorer.
6. As you hit the enter button you are redirected to the location where the game saves the data.

Step 2: Restoring the lost file:

1. After getting the location of saved files, right-click on the empty space to get the context menu and then select the "properties" option.
2. Now select the tab name "previous version" in the "properties page".
3. Now you can see a folder, click on the folder, and it will redirect you to a new page.
4. On this new page, you will find your old save game data copy it, and paste it into your original game folder where the game saves your progress.
5. Relaunch the game and you will see that your data have been recovered(Note: all the data will not be recovered but you will not lose all your data.).
