HTML file does not open in chrome | Running an HTML file in Chrome using Notepad++ | ShellExecute Error 2

There are lots of editors available out there and Notepad ++ is one of them. The editor is very simple and flexible with a very tiny size, but with some users, there is a problem, i.e., they are unable to open their HTML file with Chrome with the help of Notepad ++.

Procedure:

In this article, I will show you you can get rid of this error. Just follow the given instruction below: 

1. Open  Notepad++ application.
2. Now open the Run menu from the menu bar. 
   
3. Click on the Run option. 
   
4. In the Run dialog box, click on the browse button. 
   
5. Search for chrome.exe in your drive. It should be like this : ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe") after you got a location where you have installed the google chrome just give a space after the double inverted comma (") and write exactly "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)". 
   
6. If you are confused then just copy this address ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)" ).
7. Then give a name to the shortcut and assign the button to that shortcut. 
   
8. After that click on the ok button now you have successfully solved the error, just go back to the Run menu you will get the Open with Chrome option or just use the shortcut that you have just created.
